2024 is a pivotal year. I believe the events that take place this year and how people respond to them will lay the foundation of our experience for the years to come. It will be very extreme, and will provide little if any stability as we make our way through more history-making events, uncover truth, suffer more losses, transition through intense changes, and face difficult challenges. Shaky Ground could actually imply intense earth changes such as earthquakes and tsunamis. With this, not all of us will have the same experience, and the good news is that overall, we do persevere and power through. On the bright side, this year we will also bring extreme and incredible examples of heroism, leadership, and bravery. For every event or experience that feels dark, hopeless, sad, desperate, and enslaving, we will also experience its counterpart as we watch miracles, doors of opportunity suddenly open, amazing inventions and interventions, helpful and hopeful advancements, inspiration, creativity, the return of the human spirit, a focus on freedom and spirituality; and the return of human connection, community, and unity .
Many months ago, I pulled one card to represent the energy of 2024 for the US, and received the Five of Wands. This energy warns that 2024 is going to be full of resistance, fighting, conflict, and overall, things will just be a complete circus. We will find ourselves scrambling to keep things together.
Five of wands could suggest conflict will start among certain groups of people, but ultimately, that energy will shift from a battle amongst each other to a more unified effort of revolution against those in power.
As we continue to watch the systems of the old world crumble and a new world emerge throughout 2024, we are experiencing a changing of the guard, but unfortunately the old guard doesn't want to leave his station willingly. With that we will see this strong revolutionary type energy assist him out the door. This will come after a lot of instability, crisis, conflict, and then unity.

With Chariot as the lead, it seems we start the year strong, but followed with the 3 of swords, things may fall apart quickly… somewhere around the 3rd week (and we have already seen this happen at the time of this post. I started writing this in December).
Transitioning to the 2 of pentacles, we have a very shaky and rocky environment. Financial highs and lows, navigating turbulent waters, but we seem to stabilize despite the shakiness around us... and eventually things seem to improve at least in terms of our connections as we recognize that we need to help each other through these challenging times. There does seem to be support, assistance, and growth.
𝕀𝕟 𝕆𝕦𝕣 𝔽𝕒𝕧𝕠𝕣: 𝒯𝒽𝑒 𝒞𝒽𝒶𝓇𝒾𝑜𝓉
The Chariot is a card that foretells of victory and success after a challenging journey. It warns us that 2024 will not be an easy ride; however, as the favor, it lets us know that regardless of what we face, we will persevere (so remind yourself of that when we move into the ugly challenge).
Chariot lets us know that this year will require us to suit have tough skin (combat armor). This is metaphorical and literal as we will be seeing war. It suggests we have blinders on and keep our eyes fixed on our mission and the road ahead. It tells us to keep our tanks full of faith (and gas, too).
We will need to remain in control, have courage and be brave. We must be action oriented and keep a determined mindset, and by doing so we will overcome whatever difficulties and challenges we find ourselves facing.
The Charioteer conquers opposing forces. This suggests we will be able to harmonize dark energies that are currently at work in our world. It suggests we will not be playing small, not be playing victim, and will be joining together for a common purpose.
The Chariot can indicate a strong military presence, or military control. So there’s that.

The three of swords is a card of upsets and foretells 2024 as a year of turmoil, breakdown, division, sorrow, and tears. This card is a lesson in relationships, so as difficult as it is, the lesson is a needed one. It will be a painful one, but it looks like we may actually learn and evolve from it
This card can be a mark of betrayl and can show separation and/or severance of relationships.
On a societal level we can expect to see relationship issues with traitors and hidden enemies of past alliances. Three of three of swords implies we will see more themes of: division amongst groups of people, violence and violent acts (in the world and our country), breakdowns in society and our systems, communication issues, lies uncovered, and sorrowful events that will require compassion and healing.
In the US (and the world) there are now three groups of people as demonstrated in the three of swords. There are those who are ego led and have been programmed by the left, those who are ego led and have been programmed by the right, and those who have done the work to consciously awaken and can see through all of it, and have found a middle path with an open heart, independent thinking, and unity consciousness.
We will witness continued breakdown of our systems, structures, and society (which will contribute to continued business closures and interruptions and delays with services); and we will experience feelings of loss. Three of swords is a strong indication of violence and war. It can also relate to the cardiovascular system, cardiac events, and cardiorespiratory illness such as lung or blood disease/disorders.
(We covered a lot what of we are seeing happen now in our past Tartoscopes from 2020/2021. We had previously predicted the separation of the people within the US and the states as seen now for the border crisis).
Personally, we will also suffer separation, loss, and breakdowns. Many relationships are breaking apart under the weight of our what is happening around us . People are realizing the need for deeper, more meaningful, more personal, and more connected relationships. This includes our close personal relationships and our daily relationships with employers, businesses, and service providers. Many will start doing business with smaller businesses that can provide a more personalized touch, and many will quit corporate or government jobs to pursue passions and self employment.
There will be loss from more people passing. There will be continued job losses and cuts business closures continue. Mental breakdowns will surface as people learn devastating truths about things that were previously hidden, which may trigger people into taking actions that may unfortunately lead to self destruction.
𝔼𝕟𝕧𝕚𝕣𝕠𝕟𝕞𝕖𝕟𝕥: 𝒯𝓌𝑜 𝑜𝒻 𝒫𝑒𝓃𝓉𝒶𝒸𝓁𝑒𝓈
The country will be on shaky ground, and we will have our hands full. Faced with the serious challenges brought by the Three of Swords, we will be forced to navigate the instability around us by being adaptable and able to change with the tides.
There will be significant highs and lows and everything in between this year. We will have to ride the storms and learn to become very flexible as events play out around us.
Adjustments may be needed in our personal lives in order to ride the waves of change as a result of the storms we face in the 3 of swords. To do this, it is best if we learn how to move with the waves of change. Adaptability is key…ride the highs, and float with the lows.
(Speaking of storms… weather and mother nature will remain another issue we continue to navigate).
Two of pentacles indicates unstable financial markets. The market will have highs and lows with certain sectors, but it seems to see it stay afloat and does not bottom out completely. This card could also indicate times of abundance and lack in terms of our resources and supplies. With the turbulent water in the back, I do feel we need to consider ocean themes, weather, issues with water, and issues with imports.
𝔸𝕕𝕧𝕚𝕔𝕖: 𝒮𝒾𝓍 𝑜𝒻 𝒫𝑒𝓃𝓉𝒶𝒸𝓁𝑒𝓈

These cards just seem to flow together for me. This combination demonstrates an ease in tension, conflict, and an improvement of circumstances. It also shows a generosity of resources and spirit! What breaks us brings us together.
Six of Pentacles is a card of giving and receiving, showing that if we are going through difficult times, there will be people to help support us, and if we see people going through challenging times we may be the ones doing the supporting.
Combined with the Six of Cups which is about connection, nostalgia, and the past… we are seeing compassion and generosity among the people. Sharing with one another, generous hearts and spirits, getting closer to our neighbors and building community. Remembering how we are similar, remembering what brings us together… and uniting to help one another with a focus on future generations and children.
Personally, this means we will be growing closer to those in our circle, community, and within our personal network. If facing hard times, we will find people come to help aid and support us. If encountering others who are suffering, we may be the ones to offer the support and aid. It also shows that in the aftermath of sorrow, upsets, and/or loss, we may have encounters with people from our past.
Collectively, we will find that whatever sorrowful/tragic events or losses we face this year will actually bridge the gap of the division we face and bring us closer together with a sense of a tighter knit community… much like 9/11 did.
Nationally and globally we may find that in the face our deepest tragedies and issues, there will be allies and alliances and support to help us overcome trials and tribulations.
In the end, despite differences we have, our shared experiences of this year will unite us on common ground, where we will learn to help one another and come back together as a people. With this, we may then find our focus will be how we can help children in the future.
